Our team is excited to welcome the next Commercial Lines Account Manager, who will serve as the primary contact and liaison with commercial line clients, handling small and mid-level account servicing, account rounding and renewals.

As Commercial Lines Account Manager you will:

  • Function as the primary contact for all commercial servicing requests and issues.
  • Manage the renewal process including; holding internal and external pre-renewal strategy meetings, directing the marketing process and assisting preparation of the renewal proposal.
  • Establish, implement and manage service timelines that meet client expectations.
  • Advise clients regarding coverage and risk exposures, review contracts and policies, negotiate with carriers to minimize gaps and omissions.
  • Review for potential gaps in coverage or coverage's yet to offer and ensure these gaps are documented as discussed and/or offered
  • Research coverage issues, including negotiate with carriers to resolve client needs and expectations.
  • Promptly respond to and resolve customer inquiries and problems.
  • Attend claims reviews, ensuring claims issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Producers and other team members to provide coverage checklists and other resources to ensure client focus is maintained at all times.
  • Assist marketing new business
  • Perform other duties as required.

This is for you if you:

  • Are able to manage sophisticated risk management accounts and non-standard insurance techniques.
  • Have extensive knowledge of carriers and industry standard coverage forms.
  • Can project management and delegation ability.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Have strong work ethic – timely follow-up, team oriented, proactive, detail oriented, and dependable.
  • Can work independently while keeping open communication within the team.
  • Are self-motivated.
  • Are able to multitask organizes and prioritizes workloads).
  • Have strong problem solving and negotiation skills.

We’d like for you to have some experience.

  • Minimum 5 years insurance industry experience, Agency preferred
  • Valid CT Personal & Casualty License (required)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
